To prepare for our visitors from the London Maori Club, sixth class created some lovely Koru art using pastels.

The Koru (Maori word for ‘loop’) is a spiral shape, based on the unfurling silver fern frond of the ponga plant. Koru symbolizes new life, growth, strength and peace. It is an integral symbol in Maori art, carving and tattoos.
